rehearsals!!!!!

hi guys. just got back from rehearsals. it is going to be great!

i have 15 dancers on each side of me with about 100 people in total participating in the entire opening ceremony. get up & go has been transformed into a 6 minute euro dance song that is sure to get people on their feet. here are some picts. you will notice there was no mic as they were using it to cue the dancers. i think it truly is going to be a great show with get up & go being the focus of the entire opening. stay tuned for more details on tmrw. i promise as soon as i have any new news regarding streaming, i will post it.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

After a day off yesterday, Keren is back at it this morning. In a little bit we will be heading off to the rehearsal studio to meet with the organizers and dancers, for a run through of the performance for Monday. After that it'll be on to the New Malmo Stadium for another rehearsal. We are planning to shoot some video and of course take pictures, so check back in a bit for an advance glimpse of Monday's ceremony.

WOW, what a night!

Things began as you see below with Keren doing the radio interview...a couple minutes of Q and A, then Jane the dj played Get Up an Go out over the airwaves. Very cool!

After a soundcheck Keren and the fellas played for an estimated crowd of about 700, right before kickoff of the semifinal match between England and Sweden. Needless to say, the Swedish crowd was pretty excited! The performance was great, with the crowd reacting with loud cheers and screams.

When Sweden fell behind to a 3-0 deficit by half time things grew a bit morose in Malmo, but the home side rallied to with an equalizer late in the second half. A tense overtime lead to an even more tense shootout. Unfortunately for our hosts, England advanced on penalties, but a gracious crowd welcomed Keren for an encore of Get Up and Go.

It was pretty spectacular getting to experience the passion and excitement of world soccer. It was a truly amazing night.

mix megapol radio interview

here are some picts from todays radio interview for mix megapol. it was a hot day here in malmo and there was alot to talk about with the semi finals and of course michael jackson. will let you know if there i find a link to the interview, in the meantime, here are the pictures.

Backstage at the fanzone

Keren finished up an interview with Swedish radio station Mix Megapol a little bit ago, then soundchecked with the band. Now she's backstage waiting to perform in about an hour. They expect around 700 to be in attendance. Check back later for pics and more.

Some Pics from Helsingborg

We had a walk around Helsingborg this morning, here's what we saw...

Overlooking the harbor...

Through the park...

Down by the water...

Literally, everywhere you look there are flagpoles flying the UEFA u-21 flag.

Getting pretty exciting as we count down to Monday's big performance.

hi guys! here are a couple picts from todays show. i decided to go full swedish style and wear their colors on stage! also it was so unbelievably hot, i couldn't bare to change after soundcheck. we're off to malmo tomorrow with 2 more performances on friday. then the big one on monday at the stadium. i also officially signed my publishing deal with bmg today!! all together, not a bad day! xo keren

Wednesday morning...

Sorry for the delay in posting, its been a bit hectic today. Our luggage finally arrived last night at around midnight. Its nice to finally have it, but it was much better finally getting a good nights rest. We slept in a little and then had coffee by the river, as the weather here is truly gorgeous! It was cold and rainy until a few days ago, but we have seen nothing but sunshine! UEFA sent a car for us at noon and we headed to Helsingborg for this afternoon's gig at the fanzone. Our driver works as a referee for the Swedish football league, and told us some great stories as he helped get us settled in Helsingborg. The gig was this afternoon, but we are hungry, so we'll tell you about it later. Check back though, we have some more cool pictures of Keren in action.

Best, Jeffrey

halmstad appearance

so with no luggage, the show went on. glad i packed an extra dress at the last minute. halmstad is a lovely little town. we walked on a cobble stone road from our hotel to get the center square where the stage and screens were set up. locals had gathered to watch sweden in their match against serbia. we went on right before! here are a couple picts of the show and the large screens. tomorrows stop in helsenberg. hopefully the luggage will arrive tonight. its been almost 48 hours since we woke up in l.a. on monday morning...sleeping will be fun tonight.

Boston...for the moment...

So, we finally got on our way from Los Angeles, a full hour delayed, but after an uneventful flight we landed in rainy Boston. As luck would have it, our plane to London was at the gate next door. So, now we sit hoping that our bags also make it the short trip to the new plane. Fingers crossed we'll be off to England a cool thirty eight minutes after landing! The adventure continues...we'll check in soon.

Be well.
